You probably know animals that are able to mimic plants, other animals, and the environment where they are. But, what about plants? Yes, there are also many plants with these abilities. Otherwise, in a lot of cases, we cannot be sure if it’s exactly an example of camouflage, morphological coincidence, or just our imagination playing with our mind (pareidolia).
In any case, some species in the genus of flowering plants called Crotalaria capture people’s attention due to the striking similarity of their blooms with hummingbirds. At a certain point in the flowering stage, their petals take on the shape of this bird. Simply fantastic!
